Indoor F/F Flying 2009 - 2010

WCA Swapmeet - Saturday 3rd. October 2009

WCA are holding a swapmeet at Otterbourne Village Hall, Cranbourne Drive, Otterbourne SO21 2ET, on Saturday, October 3rd. 2009 from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Otterbourne Village Hall is approximately 1/2 mile from junction 12 of the M3. Follow the signs to Otterbourne, travelling down Otterbourne Hill, and Cranbourne Drive is on the left just past the church.

Tables are available at £5 each, whilst admission will be £2 for adults, with accompanied children admitted free. To book a table please contact Chris Carr. For further details of this event please contact either Chris Carr or Alan Wallington.

Light refreshments will be available throughout the event.

This swapmeet is the ideal opportunity for modellers to dispose of unwanted kits, models, engines and all kinds of modelling equipment, raising some cash in the process for the purchase of more urgently required items. For those looking to spend some money, this could provide the opportunity of locating that sought after kit, or perhaps a much needed engine at a bargain price. or maybe a finished model to fly during the winter.

Indoor R/C Flying 2009 - 2010

Once again WCA have been fortunate to book the Main Hall at Havant Leisure Centre, Havant as our venue for indoor R/C flying events. The main hall is an eight badminton court sportshall, which has proven to be eminently suitable for our indoor R/C events.

Meetings this season will broadly have the same format as last year, in that flying is "sport" orientated. Should the number of flyers present prove sufficient, it is our intention to run the occasional informal competition during the winter.

All events run from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.

2nd. Indoor R/C Meeting - Saturday 21st. November 2009

3rd. Indoor R/C Meeting - Saturday 23rd. January 2010

4th. Indoor R/C Meeting - Saturday 20th. February 2010

5th. Indoor R/C Meeting - Saturday 20th. March 2010

Indoor F/F Flying 2009 - 2010

Following the success of the indoor free-flight events held in the Main Hall at Wickham Community Centre last winter, we are pleased to announce that a series of three events has been booked for the new indoor season. Unfortunately, as the booking for 2010 cannot be made until August, we are unable to confirm further meetings at this time, although it is our intention to run a further six events from January 2010 to June 2010 inclusive. Once the booking for these events has been confirmed, we will advise the dates of these meetings.

All events run from 6.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
